Bengaluru equalized with Lucknow: beat Supergiants by 18 runs at their home, defended the lowest score of the season
Royal Challengers Bangalore have leveled the score with Lucknow Supergiants in the Indian Premier League-16. The team defeated Lucknow by 18 runs at their home ground. In the previous encounter of the current season, Lucknow defeated Bengaluru by one wicket at their home Chinnaswamy Stadium.

Batting first after winning the toss, Bengaluru scored 126 runs for 9 wickets in 20 overs at the Bharat Ratna Atal Vihari Ekana Stadium in Lucknow. In reply, the Lucknow team was all out for 108 runs in 19.5 overs.

Bengaluru has defended the smallest score this season. Earlier, the record for defending the smallest score was in the name of Gujarat. Gujarat Titans defended a score of 135 against Lucknow on 22nd April.
Chennai Super Kings hold the record for defending the lowest overall score in IPL. In 2009, while defending a score of 116 against Punjab Kings, the team allowed them to score only 92 runs. Apart from Chennai, Sunrisers Hyderabad have defended 118 and Punjab Kings have defended 119 runs.

Krishnappa Gautam’s runout Lucknow had lost 6 wickets for 65 runs, but Krishnappa Gautam was batting brilliantly. It looked like Gautam would take the match closer. Gautam had scored 22 runs in 12 balls. After this, Gautam took one run on the first ball of the 12th over and got run out in the second run.
