Gavaskar’s advice to Rohit: Said- should take a break from cricket for some time; and be fit for the WTC
Former Indian player Sunil Gavaskar believes that Mumbai Indians (MI) and Team India captain Rohit Sharma should take a short break from the ongoing Indian Premier League (IPL). So that he can keep himself fit for the World Test Championship (WTC) final to be held in June.
Talking to Star Sports, Gavaskar said, I want to see some changes in the batting order of Mumbai. I think Rohit Sharma should take a break and keep himself fit for the WTC final. They can do better after a few matches, but right now they need some respite. They seem very restless right now. Maybe they’re thinking about the WTC at the moment, I don’t know.
Gavaskar further said, ‘It will be a miracle if they make it to the playoffs in the condition Mumbai are in right now. He can stay at number four, but he will have to perform exceptionally well with the bat and the bowling.
