Team India became number-1 in Test rankings: Australian team slipped to second place, three big players of India injured before WTC final
Team India has become number-1 in Tests. The International Cricket Council (ICC) released the latest Test team rankings on Tuesday. Where Team India has reached the top after leaving Australia. Earlier this year, Team India retained the Border-Gavaskar Trophy for the fourth time in a row by defeating Australia 2-1 in the Test series.
India has got 3031 points in 25 matches. He has a rating of 121. Whereas Australia has got 2679 points from 23 matches. He has got a 116 rating. In this way, India is first and Australia is second. England is in third place. While South Africa is at number four. New Zealand is currently in the fifth position.
Before the ICC’s annual rankings update, Australia was on top with 122 points and India was three points behind on 119 points. This update has been done keeping in mind the performance of the teams after May 2020. In the ICC’s annual rankings, the weightage of series finished before May 2020 to May 2022 is 50% and all series after May 2022 have 100% weightage.
WTC final match will be played from June 7
The final match of the World Test Championship (WTC) will be played between India and Australia from June 7. For this, the teams of both countries have been announced. India will enter the final under the leadership of Rohit Sharma. At the same time, three big players of Team India have been injured before the WTC final. Which includes the names of KL Rahul, Shardul Thakur, and Jaydev Unadkat.
Shardul is out of the remaining season of IPL-16. At the same time, Jaidev Unakat, who was part of the Lucknow Super Giants team, also got injured. He got hurt during a training session when he fell on the ground. At the same time, KL Rahul got injured in the match against RCB.
